Wife's first trip to Betong, Thailand

Since I am in the mood of writing, I thought I'd write some more... hehehe.

This trip happened some time in February 2013. It is the first time ever for my wife to cross over to Thailand. We particularly went to Betong, which is located about 400km from Kuala Lumpur.

We started from R&R Sungai Buloh around 730 am. There were six (6) bikes who met up there.

Refuelling stop at R&R Tapah

We were supposed to meet up with another group once we reached the Kuala Kangsar exit. We then found out that he had a puncture and we waited for him to get his tires fixed. Luckily there was a shop nearby

The KTM had a puncture

After that was settled, we continued our journey to Grik and refueled there.

After finished refueling at Grik, we continued our journey to Pengkalan Hulu and straight to the Malaysian-Thailand Border

The immigration clearance process was smooth and easy. Once everyone have settled their clearance, we continued our short journey to the town of Betong

We checked in to our usual hotel, the Butterfly Princess and after storing our stuff in the rooms, we went straight to grab some lunch. Boy were we hungry.

We had our lunch at a restaurant facing the hotel. After that, we decided to take a stroll around Betong town.

We took the tuk tuk (hahaha, funny how it rhymes)

Everybody was crazy after the lunch

The girls looked so happy

We then decided to have our dinner at a seafood restaurant somewhere in the town center.

We then walked around the town till night time, just to let the seafood get digested properly :P

It was a short trip as we only stayed for one (1) night in Betong. The journey home to KL the next day was quite challenging as it was raining heavily along the way. However, all of us got home safely and we were all happy with this trip. - KH -
